WHY GIRLS RUGBY

Girls Rugby provides access for girls to learn vital skills and core values such as leadership, empowerment, achievement, respect and sportsmanship all while enjoying the experience of playing all-girls, non-contact rugby. Girls Rugby embodies the philosophy of developing young girls through sport and understands the positive benefits that participation in team sports has on their lives.

Flag Rugby is a fun, all-inclusive way to introduce young girls to the fundamental skills of rugby with a big emphasis on having fun! No experience is needed to play and all are welcome to come try it out! Flag Rugby substitutes a traditional “tackle” with a flag pull. Flag Rugby is perfect for new players!

She was made to feel welcome and had a blast!

My daughter switched to Rugby from playing high level competitive soccer last fall. She was made to feel welcome and had a blast, she will be returning to play rugby this spring. Having been around youth soccer and coaching coaching competitive soccer myself, I found the entire environment a huge breath of fresh air.

If you haven’t tried rugby yet you should!

There is a real sense of comradery not just with your team but with everyone playing rugby. Socials after the games with food and drinks and all the players from all teams mixing together is common practice and I believe it really helps the kids develope that good sportsmanship attitude.
